Auditions for "A Christmas Carol" at Orem HCT

Announces auditions for
"A Christmas Carol"
Open - December 2 Close - December 23

Auditions will be held Sept. 22nd and 23rd by appointment.
All roles with the exception of Ebenezer Scrooge are available.
The theater is looking for adult men and women of all ages and children 9 years old and above.
The role of Tiny Tim is also available, for which the theater is looking for boys under 46" tall.

Children (ages 9 - 15 and those auditioning for Tiny Tim) will be seen between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 on Sept.22nd. Adults will be seen from 8:00 to 10:00 on the 22nd, and from 7:00 to 10:00 on the 23rd.

Those auditioning (excluding children) should prepare to sing 16 bars of a song which showcases their vocal abilities. They should also be familiar with a proper British and/or cockney accent for a short cold read.

"Singing Only" roles are also available for the show's choir. Those desiring to audition for the Choir Only should download the following file. "Christmas is Coming" and come prepared to sing this A Capella. Some characters will have solos newly written into the show. Strong singers are sought for those roles as well as for the choir.

A Christmas Carol begins performances November 30th and runs until December 23rd.

Thanks to a generous grant from Orem City's CARE Tax, actors will be paid for their performances.

The show will be directed by Jerry Elison. Diane Dabczynski will direct the music.
