I just wanted to say "Thank You" for the hard work you invested in our recent winter recital. It was a success, and I hope that each of you felt like you were able to gain something from your performing experience.
As the new year has begun, I have already begun to plan our upcoming Spring Recital. I have strong desires to provide for you a free, yet positive, and professional recital experience during every season, and am always looking for new and improved ways in which to do that.
Here's a list of ideas I have thought of for our Spring Recital so far:
- Do away with frequent microphone adjustments! I can do this by investing in two wireless microphones (and stands), so that other microphones can be "pre-set" for performers who are using the piano and/or guitar.
- Shorten the length of the recital! I can do this by allowing each performer to sing one song, rather than two.
- Improve not only the sound quality, but also the overall "flow" of the recital! I can do this by hiring someone to run the mixing board for me, who can adjust microphone levels, and stay on top of the music tracks, more efficiently.
If there are any ideas or suggestions you, or your parents, may have in addition to this list, will you please send them to me? Your suggestions and feedback are always welcome and appreciated!
See you all at lessons this week!
Patricia
