Recital Announcements and Reminders

Students (and parents),

Just wanted to clarify a few items before the recital tomorrow:

1. Remember that the recital does not start until 6:30pm, but that all performers are expected to arrive twenty minutes early. So, if you are singing in the recital tomorrow night, you need to arrive at 6:10pm sharp!!!
2. Many of you are wondering what to wear. There are no attire requirements, except that you should dress appropriately for the songs you will be singing. If Taylor Swift was coming to sing tomorrow night, she would wear red lipstick, a short yellow dress, and cowboy boots. If Josh Groban was coming to sing tomorrow night, he would wear a suit jacket with a pale colored button shirt, and dress pants/shoes. In other words...if you were trying to MARKET yourself (for a concert or for an audition), what would YOU wear? Contact me if you need ideas, or have questions!
3. Don't forget that the recital is being held at a new venue this year. The address to the Summer Hays Recital Hall is 5420 South Green Street, in Murray. It's easy to find. Just take the 5300 South exit of 1-15 and turn West. Then take your very first left at the intersection. As the road curves, you'll see the Summerhay's sign.
4. Lastly, please remember to come prepared with cash, check, or credit card, to purchase, at least one, DVD copy of the recital's recording. They are $15.00 each.
