October Newsletter: Recital Date Posted!

Welcome to October! New fall season calendars have officially been handed out. And, as such, I have posted below October's announcements and reminders, along with the dates of our seasonal coaching class and recital. Please mark these dates on your caledars!

New Season Reminder: WHAT TO BRING

Please remember that you are expected to come to your lesson with 3 things, every week…
1) RECORDING DEVICE
2) MUSIC TO SING
3) PRACTICE SHEET CALENDAR

October 20th—22nd: NO LESSONS

Because of the public school break, I will NOT be teaching regular lessons during these dates. If your regular lessons falls on any of these days, please schedule a make-up lesson.

Audition Updates: THEATER & MEDIA MUSIC

October 31st—November 5th: RECITAL MUSIC DUE

Please bring a copy of BOTH your recital songs (either copies of sheet music, or MP3 minus tracks) to your lesson by this week. The music should be cut or spliced, marked, and ready for the accompanist, or the sound technician, to prepare with.

December 3rd: MANDATORY COACHING CLASS

A mandatory coaching class will be held at my house this day, from 10:00am—11:30am. An accompanist will be provided. Each student will have the opportunity to perform, observe, and be critiqued.

December 13th: WINTER VOCAL RECITAL

All students are expected to arrive 20 minutes early (6:10pm) to warm-up their voices and participate in a sound check. The recital will begin at 6:30pm. Please note that we will be using a different venue for our recital this year. The address to the Summerhays Recital Hall is 5420 South Green Street, in Murrary. It’s easy to find. Just take the 5300 South exit of I-15, and turn West. Then take your very first left at the intersection. As the road curves, you’ll see the Summerhays sign.
